Let’s Makeup!

First, let me start by saying, I am no makeup artist! However, I do love makeup! I’m sharing some of my favorite items I use religiously every day.

After cleansing and moisturizing, I apply concealer under my eyes (Hint: apply concealer in an upside-down triangle under eyes to conceal dark circles) and to any problem areas that I want to hide for the day. I have tried so many concealers, vegan, organic, mineral, you name it. A lot of them missed the mark, they didn’t last or they creased. I discovered this concealer, and OMG it’s the Holy Grail of concealer! The amount of praise I have for this little stick of magic is extreme, if you want a concealer that lasts all day and doesn’t crease, you must try!

Some days this concealer is all the that I wear, plus a little mascara. There are a lot of great mascara products out there, I have several that I go back and forth with. Right now I am using this mascara. I haven’t had any running or clumps falling during the day. It definitely makes my lashes look fuller. Too Faced also makes a great mascara. Both of these make me feel like I just left a lash extension appointment.

For those times that I do more than conceal and apply mascara, I start with my eyes (I always do my eye shadow first, that way I can brush away any loose powder before applying face makeup) by applying an eyeshadow base. I use Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Apply this cream using your finger tip and then apply shadow. It truly is a magic potion, your shadow will last and not crease until you choose to take it off.  Side note: One time I forgot to take off my makeup and woke up with perfect eye shadow. I may or may not have had some wine that evening. Whoops!

When it comes to eyeshadow, I stay pretty neutral. I was on the hunt for the perfect eyeshadow palette forever, I mean forever. I finally found this one, and guess what, it was sold out. It finally came back into stock and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.  This palette has the perfect combination of warm neutrals for any skin tone. You cannot go wrong mixing and matching these colors.

I recently started using highlighter with my bronzer and blush. These are my three favs when it comes to face powders. I apply this iridescent highlighter to my cheek bones, nose, and chin. It’s not too overpowering and gives just the right amount of glow. I received this blush in my Ipsy monthly subscription (this is a great way to try new product with out breaking the bank, its only $10 a month!). I have been using this subtle blush for months and will be buying a full size when I run out.

When it comes to bronzer, I have tried a lot of them. Bronzer is a gal’s best friend in Florida! This bronzer is divine! Not only does it contain real cocoa (yes, it smells like chocolate), it creates a nice buildable tan. Using a powder brush apply from temple to cheek bone in a C shape motion!

Like my eyeshadow, and powders, I also stay neutral with my lip stick. I go back and forth between Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick and Lipstick Queen. Sometimes I use both together! The Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick’s can be drying, so I like to use a lip exfoliator like this one before applying.

If I don’t use the liquid lipstick I just use Lipstick Queen’s lipstick. I have several neutral shades that match everything! These lipsticks are super moisturizing, and I don’t feel the need to apply over and over again through out the evening.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you found some helpful tips and tricks to add to your makeup routine!

All my love,

Michelle
